HOW DOES AFTER HOURS CHECK-IN WORK?

If you will be checking in after 6 p.m. we will leave your room key and directions to your room hanging on the Craignair Inn whale on the office door. We will also leave a breakfast menu for you to complete when you arrive.

CAN I WALK OVER THE CAUSEWAY TO CLARK ISLAND?

Yes. The Maine Coast Heritage Trust invites visitors to walk over the causeway and explore Clark Island.

IS BREAKFAST INCLUDED IN MY STAY?

Yes! Please join us for a relaxed sit-down breakfast.

WHAT TIME IS CHECK-OUT?

Check-out is at 11 am.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN WHEN IT SAYS THE ROOM HAS A HALLWAY BATHROOM?

A hallway bath is simply that; a bathroom that is located in the hallway outside your room. All bathrooms are private. Bathrobes are just one of the amenities we provide in each room.

DO I HAVE TO SHARE A BATHROOM?

No, you do not have to share a bathroom. Inn rooms have either en-suite bathrooms or private hallway bathrooms (see the previous question). The Vestry building rooms (# 21-28) have en-suite bathrooms. Browse our Guest Rooms for details.

IS THE CRAIGNAIR INN PET-FRIENDLY?

You bet! We welcome pets in the Vestry building (rooms #21-28). Please review our pet policies here.

IS THERE AN ELEVATOR?

No, the Craignair Inn does not have an elevator. The rooms located on the first floor of the Vestry building (#21-25) are the best option for people with limited mobility. There are 4 porch steps with handrails you must go up to access the first-floor Vestry rooms.

DO THE ROOMS HAVE TELEVISIONS AND WIFI?

All of our rooms have WiFi. The Vestry Rooms (#21-28) all have televisions. Inn rooms do not have televisions. Browse our Guest Rooms for details.

DO THE ROOMS HAVE AIR CONDITIONING?

The rooms in the Vestry building have air conditioning (rooms #21-28). The rooms in the main Inn building do not have air conditioning. Each room has a fan and ocean breezes!

WHERE IS THE CLOSEST PLACE TO GET LOBSTER?

Besides our Causeway dining room, McLoons Lobster Shack is just two islands north of us (about 5 miles by car). Ask for easy directions when you arrive!
