The guest rooms at our Maine coast bed and breakfast are divided between the main 1928 building and the Vestry annex building. The Main Inn has 13 guest rooms and the Vestry has 8 guest rooms. The ocean-facing inn rooms have never-ending views of the ocean, tides, stars, and island. All of the rooms have a clean, tidy, historic feel to them with strong and reliable WiFi. Maine Coast Bed and Breakfast Rooms
Main Inn Rooms
The Main Inn building was built in 1928 as a boarding house for the Scottish workers at the quarry. It was converted to an inn in 1947 and has been in operation since. In 2020, we uncovered the original hardwood floors in the dining room and brought them back to their original finishing. The original stairs the quarry workers climbed to reach their rooms greets guests upon arrival to the inn. Due to the historical nature of the main inn building we do not have air conditioning. The lack of televisions and alarm clocks allows guests to slow down and get back to nature. The WiFi is strong, so if you do need to connect we’ve got you covered.
The Vestry annex building is a former chapel set in gardens in the rear with water views from the second floor deck. The rooms have shared deck space with grand ocean views, window air conditioning units, and are a bit more spacious than the Maine Inn rooms. The Vestry is open from May through October and it is home to our 8 pet friendly rooms.
