First Friday Art Walk in Rockland now happens year-round! Rockland Main Street is closed to traffic, the many galleries and two world-class fine art museums are free and open to the public! The North Atlantic Blues Festival is an annual two-day blues music festival featuring national blues performers and considered one of the most prestigious on the East Coast. The festival is held on the ocean, at the Public Landing in Rockland, Maine, an easy 30 minute drive from the Craignair Inn. Don’t miss the spectacle of the Camden Classics Cup fleet parading around Camden’s Inner Harbor! Racing happens all weekend sailed where the mountains meet the sea. Wed July 31, 2024 Artist’s Opening: John Bisignano

Join us in The Craignair Gallery for an artist’s opening opening on Wednesday, July 31st from 4-7. Light refreshments and wine served. John Bisignano works in many mediums including collage, acrylic, sculpture, and photography. His fine art will be on exhibit here through August.

The annual Maine Boat & Home Show welcomes between 8,000 and 10,000 visitors to a scenic waterfront location in Rockland (the Arts Capital of Maine) during the peak of the summer season (the second weekend in August). The event features boats in the water, boats on land, marine gear vendors, fine furniture and home wares, arts, architecture, live music, and delicious food. The Camden International Film Festival, presented by the Points North Institute is an international festival of documentary film. Fri-Sun September 20-22, 2024 Common Ground Fair

The Common Ground Country Fair is a demonstration of rural living, traditional farming practices, and a sustainable worldview. It is put on by the The Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association every year on the fairgrounds in Unity, Maine, about an hour from the Craignair Inn. This gentle fair, which always occurs on the third weekend after Labor Day, is a rich celebration and beautiful weekend ritual for Maine people. You know it’s fall in Mid-Coast Maine when the Common Ground arrives again
