Host/Hostess

At The Causeway, hosting is more than just a job – it’s an opportunity to create memorable dining experiences for our guests. As the first point of contact, our hosts play a vital role in setting the tone for each guest’s visit, warmly welcoming them and ensuring their needs are met from the moment they arrive. With a focus on exceptional service and attention to detail, hosting at The Causeway is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing unparalleled hospitality in a charming coastal setting. On the job training is provided.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Greeting and welcoming guests upon arrival.
  • Seating guests promptly, ensuring those with reservations are accommodated.
  • Assigning tables based on seating policies.
  • Escorting guests to their tables, providing menus, and informing them of their server.
  • Serving warm bread and ensuring water glasses are filled during service.
  • Acknowledging guests upon departure in a friendly manner. 

    Before Service:

     

     

    • Ensure menus are ready for each shift.
    • Assist with table setup and communicate large party details to the kitchen.

     

    During Service:

    • Assist with bussing and table reset.
    • Seat guests according to restaurant policy for smooth service flow.
    • Present menus, check table presentation, and pour water for guests.
    • Monitor dining room for wait times and communicate with staff as needed.
    • Thank guests upon departure and invite them to return.

Weekend Housekeeper

About you:
If you’re someone who gets excited about the art of cleaning, organizing, and maintaining impeccable standards, then you’re exactly who we’re looking for. Our goal is to create a space where every guest feels like they’re the very first to use it, every single time. We need individuals who are not just reliable and efficient, but also trustworthy and committed to delivering excellence in everything they do. A positive attitude and strong communication skills are essential, as is a keen eye for detail. And of course, you should be physically capable of meeting the demands of housekeeping. Above all, we’re seeking individuals who take genuine pride in their work and are eager to contribute to our mission of creating memorable guest experiences.

 

Job Expectations:
  • Team player

  • Clean and tidy all areas of guest rooms including dusting, sweeping, mopping, polishing, trash removal, bathroom cleaning, window washing

  • Maintain cleaning equipment 

  • Check stock levels of cleaning supplies and consumables

  • Constantly standing, walking, pushing, kneeling, twisting, reaching

  • Ability to carry baskets of laundry up and down stairs (must be able to lift/carry 30 pounds)

  • Handle guests requests and issues with grace

  • Maintain clean common areas
